Matthew Benton, a South Carolina native, joins the Daniel Island Club team with over 13 years of accounting experience and a strong background in IT. A Charleston Southern University graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Accounting Emphasis), he has worked in diverse industries, including financial services, technology, and manufacturing. His expertise spans accounts payable, financial reporting, and portfolio management for municipal, securitized, and private equity investments. In addition to his accounting background, Matthew expanded his skill set into information technology, earning a Google Technical Support Fundamentals certification and completing coursework in TCP/IP networking. His experience includes IT infrastructure management, systems automation, and financial technology integration. His early career in the hospitality industry has also given him a strong foundation in customer service and operational efficiency. With his diverse expertise and commitment to excellence, he is a valuable asset to the club.
